Local Weather: Scattered showers expected the first half of Thursday

A cool-front will bring more comfortable weather to end the workweek

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. —

HEADLINES:

- Scattered showers & a few downpours are likely between 6am-2pm Thursday

- A cold front will bring relief at the end of the week

- Ernesto will bring rip currents this weekend

THURSDAY: A front will drape past the First Coast. This could bring passing rain but a notable drop in temperatures and humidity. It will also be breezy.

FRIDAY: It will be mostly dry, a bit breezy, and not as hot with highs in the 80s and lower humidity. However, if you plan to head to the beach, a dangerous surf and rip currents are likely due to Tropical Storm Ernesto.

WEEKEND: Rip currents will continue at the beaches. Temperatures will rebound into the 90s. Humidity and rain chances will be a bit higher Sunday as compared to Saturday.
